Hi!

My name is Lauren, I’m a 20 something living in Dallas, and you guessed it. Single. I’m a Southern California native and graduated from TCU in 2013, GO FROGS! I miss the beach every day, and love a good acai bowl, and moscow mule. Day to Day you can find me hopping from work out classes (thanks Class Pass) walking the Katy Trail with friends, and trying new restaurants. I am a travel enthusiast and am always planning my next trip. I am a writer and a dreamer, and here is why I made this space. My faith is the most important thing to me, God is at the center of all aspects in my life, and my purpose is to glorify him in all I do.

Until 2017, I had not gone on or been asked on a date since college. I have been a bridesmaid 6 times, been to more weddings that I can count, and caught 1 bouquet…(spoiler alert, I don’t think it works).  I’m sure many of you can beat me by a landslide in those numbers too. In Texas, and the community I’m surrounded in, a lot of people get married, young which is so great! However, it is easy to compare yourself to them and think “Why am I still single? Am I behind?” And while it’s wonderful to talk to said friends about singleness, it’s hard not to become bitter because, simply. They don’t know what it’s like to be 25 and single.  I cannot count how many times I’ve had conversations revolving around the question, why is there so little written from singles for singles? This is why I’ve created this space. I wanted there to be a place to encourage singles that they can live a purposeful, exciting and valuable life, that’s not about waiting for what’s next or who next. This space is to encourage people to live their best single lives. In no ways am I saying I have conquered singleness and do it well. But I can say that these past 4 years have been some of the sweetest and singleness has been a big part of it.
